EVALUATION OF THE ECONOMIC MECHANISM OF MANAGEMENT OF TEXTILE INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES OF PAKHTABAD DISTRICT

Abstract

This article analyzes the issues of evaluating the economic mechanism for managing textile industry enterprises in Pakhtabad district. The study examines the role of the textile industry in the economy of Uzbekistan, including its share in gross domestic product, its importance in industrial production, and its export potential based on statistical indicators. Using the example of Pakhtabad district, the research investigates production volumes, export-import performance, investment activity, and management efficiency of textile enterprises. The study employs methods such as economic analysis, comparative comparison, statistical grouping, and the use of absolute and relative indicators. The article highlights the steady growth of textile production volumes during 2017–2025, the increase in the share of finished products, and the expansion of export geography. At the same time, several challenges were identified, including underutilization of production capacities, insufficient development of logistics systems, a shortage of qualified management personnel, and the low level of implementation of innovative technologies. Based on the findings, scientific and practical recommendations were developed to improve the competitiveness of the industry, accelerate technological modernization, deepen raw material processing, and expand the cluster-based production system. The proposed measures are aimed at increasing the efficiency of regional textile enterprises and strengthening their export potential in domestic and international markets.
